Aspen, Colorado January 29, 2013  As part of an elite field of the world’s top snowmobile athletes Team Jimmy John’s was invited to participate in one of the world’s most televised sporting events for action sport athletes?Winter X Games 17, this past weekend.

The prestigious event held on the famed slopes of Buttermilk Mountain in Aspen, Colorado generates millions of impressions globally through live coverage on ESPN and ABC. It also draws upwards of 100,000 live spectators each year as athletes compete for Gold, Silver and Bronze medals alongside several other snow sport disciplines including snowboarding and skiing.

Winter X Games 17 was a first for 20 year old Team Jimmy John’s Pro Athlete, Petter Narsa (#271).  Narsa had an impressive run, coming into Sunday’s main event as the second fastest qualifier right behind 6-peat Gold Medalist Tucker Hibbert- and garnering much coveted attention from X Games media.  Set up 2nd on the line for the main, Narsa held the reins at the start in order to navigate through the first corner bottleneck. a wise decision as it allowed him to move to the left and avoid the pack. Narsa quickly settled into a 4th place position, eventually losing ground to fellow Swede Emil Ohman and finishing a respectable 5th out of 24 riders on the most difficult course of his career.

Team Jimmy John’s Pro Lite athlete Renaud Alexandre (#793) was also invited to participate in Winter X Games 17.  The combination of a gnarly course and bad luck sent Alexandre to the LCQ?when a complication with the sled forced Renaud to pull off the course while running 4th and ended his run at Winter X.

“ESPN and the staff at Buttermilk Resort put on a world class show and the BOSS Racing crew is honored to be a part of the elite group of athletes invited to participate in this prestigious event. The team looks strong and we are eager to continue our regular season this weekend” – Garry Querel
