Reinheim Wins FIM World Championship On Warnert Ski-Doo

ST. CLOUD, Minn. – Swedish snocross champion Adam Renheim captured his first FIM World SnowCross Championship on Friday, riding his Warnert Racing Ski-Doo to finishes of 1-2-2 in the three race main event format. For Renheim, the biggest challenge during the event was just getting into the finals. A crash in the first corner of the qualifying round meant having to go through the last chance qualifying race to secure a spot in the championship rounds.

After two rounds of competition, Renheim  was locked in a points battle with fellow countryman Petter Narsa and American racer Logan Christian. With the laps counting down in the third and final championship round, every position was critical to the final outcome. At the finish, it was Narsa who took the win, but Renheim was able to overtake Christian on the last lap, accumulating enough points, 69, to get the overall World Championship. Narsa finished second with 67 and Christian was third with 65.

Renheim started the season racing the AMSOIL Championship Snocross tour in the United States. After competing in the first two rounds with mixed results, Renheim returned to Sweden to focus on repeating as the national champion and becoming a World Champion.

Over 25,000 spectators were on hand to witness the event which was broadcast live in HD for the first time.
