Team PR: Warnert Racing Report #1

haley Team Press

The 2022 – 2023 Snocross season kicked off this weekend in Fargo, ND! Per tradition, the teams were greeted with heavy snow, high winds, and frigid temps customary to a Fargo race weekend.

The three day ordeal started Friday with the Amsoil Dominator, and it was back in its traditional head-to-head format. Both Francis Pelletier and Jordan Lebel qualified for the dominator, and patiently waited for the action to start. Frank advanced to the second round of qualifiers, but was edged out and turned his focus to the following two days of racing. In Jordan’s first round of head to head sprints, not conducive to his settle-in /stalk-your-prey style, he was eliminated in his first bout.

Naeli Lebel started her battle for points with two solid rounds of qualifying. In her Pro Women’s Final she was able to secure P5 to start her season! The youngest racer on the team, Dylan Lebel notched the team’s first podium of the year. After solid qualifiers and even tipping over in his final, Dylan stood on the box in P3 on the Jr. 14 – 15 podium.

Round 1 of Pro racing did not go how we drew it up for Frank. Moments after the Pro Final had begun, it was unfortunately over for the 220. Francis was involved in a multi-sled pileup in the first corner of the race. Both man and machine took some damage, but were able to go back at it again for Round 2. The bar has been set once again in Pro Lite. Jordan Lebel went 1-1-1 on the day and took home the gold medal in the Pro Lite Final!

Naeli Lebel was once again a consistent player in the Pro Women’s ranks. After running P2 for part of the Pro Women’s Final, she had a wreck but was able to salvage another fifth place finish. Dylan Lebel was out for redemption. In Dominant fashion, he was able to get the win in his Jr. 14 – 15 Final.

Round 2 was a battle of physical comfort for a stiff and sore Frank. Surely not to Frank’s standards and no representation of his ability, Francis was able to push through and put himself in the top 10 of the Pro Final. Jordan was able to repeat his 1-1-1 performance, sweeping the Pro Lite class and all it had to offer. This included a $10,000 weekend bonus for sweeping the class, although he wouldn’t take it all with him as dinner was on Jordan Sunday night. Dylan Lebel put on a clinic in his Sport Lite qualifiers but was taken out on the start of his final and extinguishing hopes of a third podium of the weekend.

The teams will take a Christmas hiatus and return to action in Shakopee, MN on January 13th and 14th for rounds 3 & 4!
