As for the Snocross action, it’s already shaping up to be one of the most competitive seasons in snowmobile racing history and the engines haven’t even started yet. The opening round of the year revs up in Ironwood, Michigan at Mt. Zion Ski Hill.
This challenging track promises to deliver an impressive, elevation-charged experience to open the season. Some of the weekend’s action includes the AMSOIL Dominator event, a heat-to-head competition between the world’s greatest Snocross racers offering a $10,000 payday to the winner. That’s a lot of bread.
To make the weekend even more memorable, local former Pro Snocross Racer and Ironwood native Kyle Pallin will be in attendance. Not only as a recently retired racer and life-long fan either, Senor Smiley is currently the Manager for Team LaVallee. Pallin and Team LaVallee will be competing throughout the upcoming Snocross season beginning in his hometown on December 15th.
Rising through the ranks with 34 career podium finishes on top of multiple National Snocross victories along the way, Pallin remains a fan favorite. To this day, Pallin is just as approachable and enthusiastic about Snocross motorsports as he was as a bright-eyed rookie.
Although this is the first time Team Lavallee has had an official team manager, Pallin’s vast experience will certainly give him a great head start. He’s definitely no stranger to LaVallee as he was racing for the team since 2012, before his retirement.
