Finley, ND (February 13, 2024) – The ISOC national snocross tour made it’s first-ever visit to the hallowed GPSV race circuit in Valcourt, Quebec over the weekend, racing in front of crowds of 10,000 plus each day.

Oskar Norum opened the weekend posting consistent finishes inside the top 10, going 5-6-8 in Pro triple crown action to finish 4th overall. On Sunday Norum went 10-12-8 for 10th and now sits ninth in the season standings.

Evan Christian started Saturday qualifying with a heat race win in the Pro Lite division, followed by a third place in round two to claim a key spot on front row of the main event. Christian made a costly mistake early in the going that dropped him in the running order where he would ultimately finish sixth.

Sunday qualifying started strong again with finishes of 2-4. In the main event, Evan continued to struggle with one particular section of the track. Running in the middle of the pack on a course that provided few passing opportunities, he held on for a 10th place.

Despite not finishing to his normal standards, Christian did advance one position in the Lites Championship and now sits in third place.

Evan Christian –Saturday night I made a mistake on the second or third lap and it was just tough to mount a charge after that.On Sunday we were fighting some things with the sled and I just started trying to ride it differently, which didn’t work. I’m willing to take some bigger risks but that just kinda bit us in the butt. We’re getting to halfway in the season but it has been so spaced out I feel like we are just starting to find a groove. It sounds like the track this weekend in New York is going to be similar to Deadwood and I’m all about a Deadwood style track.
The national tour resumes on February 16-17th in Salamanca, New York. This stop always features a big turnout of east coast race fans and will mark the midway point of the season that begins to shift into high gear over the next 45 days with multiple back-to-back race weekends.
