SLEEPY EYE, MN — Former Snocross rising star, Jake Erickson, will make his return to competition after a 5+ year hiatus. Jake will compete full-time for Haala Racing in the ISOC National Pro Lite division.
Although he took a break from snowmobile racing, he remained fit and rode regularly. He started riding a practice track last season with a fellow competitor and immediately felt comfortable and regained the speed he once had.
Long time Pro Lite veteran Matt Pichner will transition from racer to team crew chief utilizing his racing experience with extensive mechanical knowledge of Arctic Cat snowmobiles. He is still anticipating to race on a limited schedule.
Returning to Haala Racing in the Sport division is Dylan Jansen. Dylan earned one top-3 and three top-10 finishes last season despite missing several races due to injury. His body is 100% healed and he is ready to contend for wins.
Joining the team full-time after an impressive end to last year is Patrick Hamilton in the Sport Lite division. Patrick competed in the last five events last year and made four finals including one top-5 and three top-10 finishes.
Completing the team is Marcus Lang and Tucker Haala in the Junior divisions. Marcus will move up to Junior 14-15 after earning one top-5 and six top-10’s last year. Tucker will return to the Junior Champ 120 division after earning one win and four top-5’s. He will also move up to compete in the Junior Transition division as well on a regular sized snowmobile.
“Last year was an adjustment year for us and a big undertaking for our new team,” said Team Owner Scott Haala. “We are all really looking forward to this season and the changes we made. I believe it will be a great year for Haala Racing!”
