Albertville, Minn. ~ Recent rain fall and warm temperatures are causing an interruption in the 2023 AMSOIL Championship Snocross schedule. Series officials have announced that the New York round of racing scheduled for February 17-18 will be moved to ERX Motor Park in Elk River, Minn.
The recent weather trend has been less than ideal for snowmaking and rainfall has depleted any current snow to the point where series officials are unable to build a track large enough to safely host next weekend’s event.
“Our crew has been working overtime trying to build enough snow,” said Snocross President, Carl Schubitzke. “But the rain and warm weather kept pushing us backwards. New York is a great event, and we apologize for not bringing Snocross to the east cost fans and its exceptional fanbase. We are looking forward to returning in 2024 and making it even bigger for those fans”.
The series will host two rounds of racing at ERX Motor Park, which has filled in as an alternative event over the past few seasons while the world fought through the pandemic. ERX offers some of the best snocross racing of the season, on the facilities massive and ultra-challenging racetrack.
The ERX event will take place on February 17-18. Tickets are on sale now!
